Bradford and I returned home last night after our second cross-country trip this month. He is now 2 months old, and celebrated his 2nd monthday (what Andy has determined is the name for month-birthdays) in New Orleans. I think he may hold the record for the most states been in for a 2 month old baby. Here’s the list: Georgia, Kansas, Oklahoma, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana! My mom and I ventured on our drive to New Orleans last Wednesday, and Bradford did great. He slept almost the whole way there, and was such a trooper as he was toted around the city for 2 days. I will say that I don’t think he was as happy about the car ride home, and has spent some much needed time out of his car seat today. Our trip was great! We could not have asked for better weather to get outside and explore New Orleans. My sister took us all around, and we enjoyed eating some delicious Cajun food, riding the ferry across the Mississippi, exploring Jackson Square, visiting Bourbon St. (briefly during the day!), walking around a beautiful park, eating beignets at Cafe Du Monte, and taking lots of pictures along the way. Most of all, it was just fun to spend time together with my mom and sister. Here are some pictures from the trip:
We are glad to be back home with Andy and will plan on staying put for a while! It has been a fun couple of weeks of travel, but I think we’re all ready to get back to some sort of routine and have some quality family time.
