Growing up, I always loved this time of year. I loved decorating the house with my mom, making Christmas cookies, snuggling up by the fire and watching National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, and enjoying some good hot chocolate. The realization that we live in Florida hits when this time of year just feels different. We love it that it’s still 80 degrees and that we can play outside without jackets. However, the fires are replaced with open windows letting the breeze in, and bundling up is replaced with playing outside in the pool. It just feels and looks different. Not bad, just different. Depending on how long we live here, I wonder if our kids will associate the holidays with such different things as we did growing up.
Here are some pictures of B man when we decided to do some Christmas crafts. I didn’t get any pictures of the actual craft time, because it involved me being covered in paint and super messy. So, here are the after shots…a little different than making gingerbread houses and enjoying hot chocolate, but I think we both had a lot of fun!
Chaz had his 4 month check-up yesterday, and it went great. Both Andy and I said numerous times yesterday morning before I left…. “how is this boy already 4 months old?” He really has outgrown the infant stage and is a big, smiling, laughing, and rolling over 4 month old. His favorite things are chewing on his fists, snuggling with anybody while propped up on the shoulder, and smiling at B Man. He is still proving to be an incredibly sweet and easy baby and we are so so thankful for him. Here are his current stats:
weight: 17 lbs. 7 ounces (90th percentile)
height: 26 inches (85th percentile)
