Sam is doing awesome, and is a pretty cute 3 week old. He’s getting chunky already and growing pretty fast. I’m trying to get as much use out of his newborn clothes, because he has about 2 more days in them until they are too small! We’ve had a lot of fun with him, and have loved having 3 boys.
The older boys are doing great too. They’ve been staying busy with lots of little projects and tasks around the house. It’s been really fun to watch them grow into little people with distinct personalities. They are really different, but also love each other a lot. Andy is an awesome, awesome Dad who is always coming up with fun things for them to do and to engage their little minds and hands. They are multi-tasking in this following picture: Andy and B making biscuits and Chazzy doing the dishes:
Sam rocked his bow-tie to church on Sunday and was looking very sharp and handsome. Thanks Aunt Emily!
We’ve all loved having Riri around and appreciate her so much! It’s going to be a little bit of a reality check next week when she heads back to GA for all of us. She has served us so well by doing a ton of laundry, cleaning, cooking, entertaining children, holding Sam, and loving on these boys and us. The boys love getting to see her everyday. We are so very thankful for her being here with us this month!

Andy started a compost with the boys, and they have thoroughly enjoyed this project. Each morning, they get to take a pile out and stir it up in the soil. Nothing better than playing in the dirt! Our next goal is to start a garden with the soil, although this probably won’t happen for a little while:
Barb and Jean got a new and improved addition to their chicken coup, thanks to Andy who worked hard to build this for them. They have also become pretty accustomed to roaming the back yard, and enjoy being free-range chickens for most of the day.
They also got 2 new friends. Bradford has named these his “brown chickens,” and Chazzy just refers to them as “Elmo.” So, their names are currently undecided but we are thinking possibly, Elmo and Big Bird (they are both girls, but they probably won’t care about their names much.)
Brotherly love is at an all-time high, which is so sweet and fun. These boys have gotten to a new level with each other. They will be fighting over something and inevitably someone will push/hit/shove the other to the ground while screaming and running away acting like they didn’t do it…..to the next scene being one where they are running playing chase, squealing with delight, belly laughing together, and giving the best hugs and kisses imaginable. They are brothers and they are so fun together.

We’re having fun, and trying to soak up all these little moments with these 3 boys, knowing that they are going to speed by so fast. Their smiles and laughter are contagious and so soul-satisfying. We feel incredibly blessed and honored to be their parents, and to have shared in this time with friends and family!
